Staff and students of SKLEBA participated The HKSMS Symposium 2019 Cum 21th Annual General Meeting of The Hong Kong Society of Mass Spectrometry
HKSMS Symposium 2019 cum 21th Annual General Meeting of The Hong Kong Society of Mass Spectrometry was held on June 22, 2019 in Hong Kong. Staff and students of SKLEBA participated the symposium. Dr. Hong Yanjun, Research Assistant Professor of SKLEBA was invited to present a talk themed” Metabolic characterization of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma”. Ms. Yang Chunxue and Ms. Zhou Yanqiu gave oral presentations on “Chronic exposure to tetrabromodiphenyl ether (BDE-47) aggravates hepatic steatosis and liver fibrosis in diet-induced obese mice” and “Exposure to benzotriazoles and benzothiazoles in relation to gestational diabetes mellitus: a prospective cohort study”, respectively.
Other seven PhD students presented their studies by poster, namely Ms. Su Xiuli of “Characterization of Linkage between Biotin and Rheumatoid Arthritis”, Ms. Liu Jiufeng of “Effects of Trimester-specific Exposure to Di(2-ethylhexyl) Phthalate (DEHP) on Ultrasound Measures of Fetal Growth, Birth Size, and Early-childhood Growth: A Longitudinal Prospective Cohort Study”, Mr. Yang Zhiyi of “Combined Metabolomic and Lipidomic Profiling of Pleural Effusion Reveals Aberrant Metabolism in Human Lung Cancer”, Ms. Song Yuanyuan of “Effects of Acute Ambient PM2.5 Exposure on Heart in C57BL/6J Diet-induced Obesity Mouse Model”, Mr. Shao Xiaojian of “Application of MALDI MS Imaging for Rapid Poly-bacterial Antibiotic Susceptibility Test”, Mr. Xie Peisi of “Prenatal Exposure to Ambient Fine Particulate Matter Induces Dysregulations of Lipid Metabolism in Adipose Tissue in Male Offspring”, and Ms. Wang Xiaoxiao of “DNA/RNA Adducts Formation from Bisphenol F 3,4-quinone Metabolite in Vitro”. Among which, Ms. Su Xiuli’s poster won the poster award.
