Publication on derivatization strategy for targeted lipidomics analysis in Small methods
Fatty acids and fatty acyls are attracting major interests because of their prominent roles in various metabolic pathways. Mass spectrometry (MS) has become an indispensable tool for analyzing them.

Recently, Prof. Zongwei Cai (SKLEBA, HKBU), Dr. Li Xiang (School of Biomedical Sciences, CUHK), Dr. Lin Zhu (SKLEBA, HKBU) and Prof. Yu Huang (School of Biomedical Sciences, CUHK) jointly published a comprehensive review on derivatization strategy for targeted lipidomics analysis, including commonly used MS platforms, representative derivatization reagents for FAs and fatty acyls based on different chain-lengths, saturation degrees, and conjugation groups.
The review is published in Small methods (https://doi.org/10.1002/smtd.202000160), an interdisciplinary forum for materials, biological, chemical, and physical sciences published by Wiley
